I received this very sad information from Carole......

"For those of you who didn't know, Jan battled lung cancer for several years. We thought that she'd won the battle; but found that she had another one to wage. After several more years of valiant effort, she succumbed to the lesion on her brain. She had been in hospice care and was surrounded by her family as she peacefully slipped away on August 24, 2000.
I had a chance to visit with her just months prior to this and she was, as always, cheerful and funny.
Please remember her that way."
