After 31 years 9 months of Federal Service I retired on January 2, 2002.
Spent most of my assignments overseas. 12 years in Germany (Giessen MilCom, Executive Officer) had to be the best assignment and it was hard saying good-bye to our many friends and accept a new stationing stateside. Spent the last 10 years at Fort Rucker retiring as the Director, Human Resources.
Finding retirement life wonderful and STRESS FREE!! My husband retired from the Army in 1985 after serving 28 years. Shortly after retirement he started working for the Federal Service and continues waking up at 0430 going to work.
We built our retirement home in Oxford, AL. I continue to visit Hawaii every couple years just to wrap myself up in the Hawaiian love of
culture, food, and sights. Off year we head to Puerto Rico which is
Francisco's homeland. Looking forward to the 40th Reunion.
