   Ric,
Thank you for the time and effort that you have put into this terrific site. I'm late in making my way here but I'm really grateful for your talents and gift.  Forty years is a lot of time "under the bridge".  I was fortunate to attend the gathering in Austin last year and had the chance to see a few old friends from the class of '62 and to make some new friends from other classes that were also there.  The time went so quickly that I didn't get to visit with everyone as much as would have liked.
It was quite an interesting feeling seeing old friends and wondering if they would recognize me or I them.  It only took a second and it seemed like we were all back in the "pink halls" of Radford once more.  It felt like extended family and I am so grateful to Carole Lewandowski Munn for notifying me.  I'm sad that I won't be able to attend the reunion in Hawaii in August but I'm hoping to make the Las Vegas reunion in Nov/Dec, whichever month is decided.

Here's a quick synopsis of the last 40 years:
*Graduated Wesley School of Nursing (RN) 1966.  For those of you who look up the yearbook and see that I put "stewardess" as my career, I can only tell you that I have no idea what possessed me to put that down.  It must have been an inside joke to myself because at that time I had the WORST problem with motion sickness and it took me many more years to outgrow it.  Possibly a "senior" moment?    Ha
* Married Duane Dinwiddie 3 days after graduation
* Daughter Kathleen (Katy) born '69
* Spent 11 years back in Air Force with Duane
* Worked in nursing off and on since graduating with a 3 year hiatus          while trying our hand as restaurant owners
* Retired from nursing 1990 with bad back, much better now
* Granddaughter, Ayla, born '98, I babysit her during the week
* 2001 started riding motorcycles (Harley) with Duane when he upgraded his bike to touring bike.  We love riding with our local HOG (Harley Owners Group) club.  We'll be attending the Republic of Texas rally later this month.  It's the biggest in Texas with an estimated 25,000 bikes.
* Duane and I spent the last 7 years cooking in outdoor Dutch ovens, we competed for 2 years and taught for 3 years.  Now we just enjoy our relaxed monthly get-togethers with our local Dutch oven society.

Thanks again, Ric, for making this avenue possible.

Sandy
